Drug Uses -
Cialis is a prescription medicine to be taken orally in order to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men.
How Taken -
Cialis comes in 5 mg, 10 mg and 20 mg doses. You should better start taking Cialis with the dose of 10 mg once a day. However, consult with your doctor and take Cialis according to the prescription.
Warnings/Precautions -
In combination with nitrates, alpha-blockers or recreational drugs that contain nitrates, Cialis could cause a sudden drop in your blood pressure that may result in dizziness, faintness, heart attack or stroke. Be careful when driving or operating heavy machinery if you do not know the reaction of your organism to Cialis. Avoid taking grapefruit juice while being treated with Cialis, as it increases the risk of side effects. Do not use Cialis if you are lactose intolerant, if your blood pressure is uncontrolled (low or high), if you are taking drugs with nitrates or nitric oxide, or if you have had stroke or heart attack.
Missed Dose -
You should take the missed dose as soon as you remember. Nevertheless, if it is near to the time for your next dose, do not take an extra tablet to catch up for the dose you forgot. Wait and take your next tablet at the regular time. Do not take a double dose.
Possible Side Effects -
Typical side effects are headache, indigestion, back pain, muscle aches, flushing, and stuffy or runny nose and they vanish in a few hours. Back pain and muscle aches usually appear in 12 to 24 hours after taking Cialis and goes away within 48 hours.
Storage -
Store Cialis at temperature between 15 and 30 0C (59 and 86 0F).
Overdose -
Adopt standard supportive measures if the overdosage takes place. Stop taking Cialis.
More Information -
You should not change the dose without medical consultation. Avoid taking alcohol, as it increases the risk of getting a headache or getting dizzy, increasing your heart rate, or lowering your blood pressure.
